Services for Richard Wayne McLarty, 42, of Ore City, were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20,2005 in the Welch Chapel 4619 Judson Road, Longview, with Rev. Mike Brittain officating. Mr.McLarty died Friday, September 16, 2005 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. He was born July 27, 1963, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas and earned his R.N. degree, EMT-Paramedic license, and worked as a flight medic. He was currently a paramedic with Champion EMS in Longview and was a Preceptor teaching an EMS class at Chapel Hill High School. In his leisure time Richard enjoyed working on cars and sailing. He is survived by his wife Leslie, of Ore City; his daughters Jennifer, of Neosho, MO, and Ami, Brandi, and Christi of Whitehouse, TX; parents Jerry and Ann McLarty of Shreveport, LA; sister and brother in law, Jeri and Andrew Perez, of Shreveport, LA; uncle & aunt Glen and Jackie McLarty of Dickinson, TX; and aunt & uncle Frances and Sam Newman of Mooresville, NC. He is also survived by his Champion EMS family of friends.

Richard's oldest daughter, Jennifer, was married on 05/27/06 to Caleb Doyle. She gave birth to a son, Richard David Doyle on 07/07/07. She had another son, Rowan Drake Doyle on 09/17/2010.
