JOSEPH J. STRATHMANN
(1883 - 1952)

Joseph J. Strathmann Sr., 68, 726-S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died at the Holy Family Hospital Thursday evening following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at the St. Paul Catholic Church. Conducting services will be Rev. Clement Kern. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Strathmann was born in Two Rivers in 1883 and moved to Manitowoc with his parents in his boyhood. Prior to his retirement a year ago, he had been employed by the Aluminum Goods Company for more than 50 years. He married the former Pauline Muchowski in Manitowoc in 1921. She survives. Mr. Strathmann was a member of the Holy Name Society at the St. Paul Church.

Survivors in addition to the widow, are four daughters, Miss Marie at home, Mrs. Frank Jocls of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Francis Blahnik and Mrs. Ed Walters, both of Manitowoc; three sons, Pfc. Paul of Fort Riley, Kas., Pvt. Joseph Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., and Charles of Manitowoc; a brother, Charles of Menominee, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Zimplemen of Milwaukee, Mrs. B. E. Carson of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Alvin Loeffler and Mrs. Frank Worth both of Manitowoc; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited there at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The wedding of Miss Mary Zych and Joseph Strathman was celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church, this morning at eight o'clock, the celebrant being Rev. Peil.
Attending the pair were Miss Mathilda Zych of this city and Charles Strathman of Frankfort, Mich.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Zych, South Tenth Street and the groom is an employee of the Manitowoc Aluminum Foundry Company.
The wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride. The couple will live here.

MUCHOWSKI-STRATHMAN

Miss Pauline Muchowski of Kewaunee and Joseph Strathman of this city were married yesterday morning at St. Boniface church, Rev. Father Peil officiating at the wedding ceremony.
The couple have departed on a honeymoon trip to points in Northern Wisconsin and upon their return will make their home in this city.
