FRANK SVOBODA
(1872 - 1967)

Frank Svoboda, 94, formerly of 1118 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Oconto Memorial Hospital where he was a patient a week.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Svoboda was born Nov. 15, 1872, in Bohemia, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svoboda. He emigrated to Manitowoc with his parents when 13 years of age. He and his wife, the former Emma Koutnik, whom he married in July 1, 1950, moved to Oconto in 1951 to reside with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson, 532 Main St. Mrs. Svoboda died Aug. 25, 1957.

Survivors include the daughter, a brother, Anton of Chicago, four sisters, Mrs. Christine Hoffman of Manitowoc, Mrs. Antoinette Zoerb of Two Rivers, Mrs. Lena Schwanbeck and Mrs. Anna Frey of Chicago, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday where at 7:30 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.

Mrs. Emma Pischl and Frank Swoboda were married Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock at the St. Boniface parsonage, Father Peil officiating.
The attendants were Edward Swoboda and Miss Marion Goetz.
After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wencle Koutnik, after which the newlyweds left for Chicago on a honeymoon trip.
They will make their home in this city.
