Peter A. Szalewski, age 90, formerly of 1029 A.S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, December 17, 1994, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 1994, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. and Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
He was born November 17, 1904, in Rosholt, Wis., son of the late Charles and Rose Glomski Szalewski. He married the former Stella Garski November 15, 1927, in Rosholt, Wis. Mr. Szalewski was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Rail Road Company for 28 years until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Szalewski, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and John Pitroski, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lee Szalewski, Richard and Jan Szalewski, all of Manitowoc; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Clem, Amherst, Wis., Harry, Wausau, Ernest, Rosholt, Frank, Plainfield, Wis., Ben and Betty, Menomonee Falls, Wis., two sisters and brothers-in-law, Angeline and Leo Yenter, Rosholt, Wis., Frances and Woodrow Firkus, Berlin, Wis.; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome, Edward and Leonard, three sisters, Pearl, Esther and Margie.
