Richard W. Tauschek, 89, of 1509 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning, November 3 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Stamborski and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr.Tauschek was born September 14, 1896 at Manitowoc, son of the late Conrad and Anna Maier Tauschek. He was a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, attending St. Boniface Parochial School. He married Sophie C. Wojtal on May 28, 1923 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1981. Prior to retirement Mr. Tauschek was employed as a custodian with the Manitowoc School System for 27 years. He was a charter member of St. Andrew Parish.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard J. and Elayne Tauschek of Manitowoc, Eugene Tauschek of California and William and Eileen Tauschek of Racine; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Maresch of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clara Tauschek of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 9:30 am Wednesday to the time of services. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation at the funeral home.
