Clara G. Terens, age 84, of 1206 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Wednesday morning, July 24, 1996, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial at the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born February 19, 1912, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Michael and Martyna O'Konski Gollata. On September 24, 1934, she married Arthur Terens at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1972.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Faye Terens, Two Rivers, John and Tracy Terens, Manitowoc; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Diane and Emil Cisler, Nancy and Charles Rezachek, Patricia and Liebert Chizek, Karen and Dennis Porodish, Iris Jagodensky, Gloria Thompson, all of Manitowoc. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and William Boeckman, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Mida Shedlosky, Manitowoc, Viola Terens, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Terens; her step-father, Frank Merkel; five brothers, Eugene, Edwin, Leonard, Anthony and Michael; one sister, Serena; one grandchild, Christopher Terens and two great-grandchildren, Catherine and Nathan Terens.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a prayer service Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Roman.
