Charles A. Teteak, age 75, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday afternoon, July 5, 1998, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 1998, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Beaudry with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born February 8, 1923, in Manitowoc, son of the late Fred and Mae Prausa Teteak. Charles was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1941, and then served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theatre of Operations. He was employed with Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc as a purchasing officer for over 40 years. He was a member of the Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687, Pine River Sportsmans Club, the Golden K. Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 388, Izaak Walton League, Ducks Unlimited, Manitowoc Senior Center, Pinecrest Historical Society and the Manitowoc Historical Society.

Survivors include a twin brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Dolores Teteak, Manitowoc; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Richard Simmet, Manitowoc; nephews and nieces, Tom (Paulette) Teteak, Tim (Nancy) Teteak, Dave (Kay) Teteak, Dan, Jim and JerryTeteak Jr., Tom Koepple and special friend, Heather, Ann Gunzel and her fiancee, Carl Bonde, Linda (Gary) Breitwisch, Patty (Tom) Graykowski. Also surviving are other relatives and friends and his beloved pet dog, Peanuts. He was preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Teteak; one nephew, James Simmet; and one sister-in-law, Betty Teteak.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. led by Rev. David Beaudry.

Charles was an avid golfer and gardener who will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
