LaVerne L. Thielen, age 78, of 316 Riverview Drive, Manitowoc, died early Saturday morning, July 30, 1994, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 1, 1994, at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Rev. James Stamborski will officiate with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
She was born August 8, 1915, in Lena, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Emily Teteak Kozlovsky. She married Ralph Thielen May 27, 1940, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She is a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church. She was employed at the J.C. Penney Company for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Thielen, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Janet Thielen, Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elaine and Millard Eber, Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Mleziva, Germaine and Dan Jarosh, all of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Tracy Thielen, Whitewater, Scott Thielen, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Eleanor, two sisters, Loretta Shallue and her husband John, Midge Hynek and her husband, Earl.
Friends may call at the St. Andrew Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
