John J. Tichansky, 72, of 1403 Washington St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at the family residence.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore Hendricks will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tichansky was born May 23, 1906 in Calumet, Mich., son of the late John and Mary Witczak Tichansky Sr., moving to Manitowoc as a child with his parents where he has resided since. Prior to his retirement in 1962, he had been employed with Mirro Aluminum Company Plant 2, as a spinner for 46 years.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Melvin Zimmerman of Manitowoc; a brother, Adam of Manitowoc and two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Josephine) Kennedy of Manitowoc and Mfrs. Katherine Collins of Maryland. A brother, Stanley, preceded him in death.
