Charles A. Tisler, 73, of 522 S. 27th St. Manitowoc, died Friday morning at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norbert VandeLoo will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Tisler was born July 2, 1903, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Matt and Catherine Shebesta Tisler. He married Anna P. Zahorik Oct. 22, 1929 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. After marriage the couple farmed in the Town of Morrison before moving to Manitowoc. He had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. and also had been in charge of local Goodwill Industries. Mr. Tisler was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706 and Manitowoc County Braille Club and a past member of St. Paul Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Sister M. Anna, St. Francis Convent at Hollandtown, Mrs. Chester (Monica) Kadow and Mrs. Donald (Rita) Frozena, of Manitowoc; a brother, William of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Stelzer, of Two Rivers, Mrs. Eugene (Clara) Klann and Mrs. Arnold (Gladys) Nickisch, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Schelfhout, of Neenah and six grandchildren. An infant son, Charles Jr., preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
