Lucy A. Trainor, age 100, of 714 S. 25th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Lucy was born Nov. 10, 1900, in the town of Newton, daughter of the late John and Mary Koelzer Scherer. On Sept. 28, 1926 she married Michael P. Trainor at St. Isadore Catholic Church, Osman, Wis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1970. Lucy was a charter member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, St. Paul Parish Women and the Third Order of St. Francis. She assisted with the St. Paul funeral lunch program and card parties for many years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Gloria Trainor, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Paul Klackner, Manitowoc and Rita and Eugene Schmidt, Grayslake, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces, and nephew, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jean; four sisters and three brothers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001.
