John Ulovitz, 76, of 410 N. 6th street, died at the holy Family hospital last night after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral parlors and at nine o'clock from the sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rev. L.M. Schorn officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Born in Prague, Bohemia, on Nov. 17, 1867, Mr. Ulovitz was brought to this country by his parents when a child of one year. They settled in the town of Franklin. Fifty-eight years ago Mr. Ulovitz married Miss Anna Biely, and they resided on the farm for several years, coming to Manitowoc to live 40 years ago. Mrs. Ulovitz died in 1913.
Survivors are two children, Mrs. Fred Lewis of Chicago, Miss Mayme Ulovitz of Manitowoc, a sister, Mrs. Frank Stueber of Manitowoc and one grandchild, Edward Ulovitz, now serving overseas with the armed forces.
The body may be viewed at the funeral parlors from noon on Tuesday until the time of services.
