LOUIS URBAN DROPS DEAD ON THE STREET


Louis Urban, well known musician of the city, died suddenly late this afternoon, while walking in the west part of the city. Mr. Urban was on his way to attend to some business on the Hill and was stricken by heart failure and died almost instantly.

Mr. Urban was widely known. He resided on Washington street.

A widow and family survive. News of Mr. Urban's death was a great shock to the community. He had been a resident here most of his life, and is well known.

FUNERAL OF LOUIS URBAN TO BE HELD THURSDAY FROM LATE HOME TO CALVARY CEMETERY

The funeral of the late Louis Urban, whose sudden death on the street yesterday from an attack of heart failure was a great shock to family and friends, will be held Thursday morning, services being conducted at the late home on Washington street. Interment will be at Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Urban was 34 years of age and had been a resident here since he was a babe of a year old, coming to the city from Germany with his parents. He was born April 15, 1881 and for years had been one of the leading musicians of the city and leader of Urban's harp orchestra. For some time Mr. Urban made his home at Kaukauna but later removed back here.

A widow and two children, Arlene and Arthur survive, besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Urban, Maribel, two brothers, George this city, and Charles of Antigo and one sister, Mrs. K. Damm of Birnamwood.

At the time of his death Mr. Urban was on his way to play for a wedding.

Bridal Party Witnesses Death of a Musician


Tragedy marred the festivities in celebration of the marriage of Miss Frances Weir and John Musiel, south side young people yesterday when, while the wedding party was on its way from the Weir home to Zboralsky's ball, Louis Urban, director of an orchestra engaged to play for the reception and dance was stricken by death. The reception was delayed while the body of the dead man was removed, but later the wedding party repaired to the hall. The marriage of the couple took place at St. Mary's church early in the day. The bride is a daughter of the engineer of the municipal lighting plant. The couple will make their home here.

MARINE BAND ESCORTS BODY OF LATE LOUIS URBAN TO LAST RESTING PLACE AT CALVARY CEMETERY

Attended by the Marine band as escort and with the Freier Saengerbund and Concordia Singing societies attending, the body of the late Louis Urban was laid to rest today in Calvary cemetery, a large concourse of friends attending the services at the home and following the remains to the cemetery.

Despite the fact that a driving rain storm was raging, the Marine band marched to the cemetery and played two selections at the graveside. Mr. Urban was a member of the band. At the services at the home the Freier Saengerbund and Concordia societies joined in singing and Judge A.H. Schmidt delivered the funeral oration.

The casket was crowned with many beautiful flowers sent by friends.

Pall bearers were Arthur Schuetze, Edward Schmitz, Henry Schreihart, J. Clark, W. Bruechert, A. Knickelbein.

Mr. Urban died suddenly from an attack of heart failure while walking on the street Monday.

Petition for Final Settlement
(No. 19. 1st publication Mch. (sic) 14, '16.)
IN PROBABTE-MANITOWOC COUNTY.

In the matter of the estate of Louis Urban, deceased.
On reading and filing the petition of Otto H. Senglaub, of the estate of said deceased for the adjustment and allowance of his administration account (and the assignment of the residue of said estate to such other persons as are by law entitled to the same);
It is ordered, That said account be examined, adjusted and allowed at a Special term of said court to be held at the office of the county judge in the city of Manitowoc, in said county, on Tuesday, the 11th day of April, A.D., 1916.
It is further ordered, that upon the adjustment and allowance of such account by this court as aforesaid the residue of said estate be by the further order and judgment of this court, assigned to such persons as are by law entitled to the same.
It is further ordered, That notice of the time and place of examination and allowance of such account, and of the assignment of the residue of said estate, be given to all persons interested by publication of this order for three successive weeks, before said day, in the Manitowoc Daily Herald, a daily newspaper printed and published at the city of Manitowoc and state of Wisconsin.
