Everett N. Van Patten, 90, 1618 South 13th Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, January 21, 1992, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, 9:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at the St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. James Stamborski will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born October 13, 1901, at Symco, Wis., son of the late Charles and Nina Ellsworth Van Patten. He moved with his family to Waupaca, then moved to Manitowoc with his parents and family in 1916, residing here since. He married the former Silvena Anna Broeker on June 18, 1930, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 18, 1991. He owned and operated Van's Sinclair Service Station for 10 years. He also owned and operated Badger Auto Supply until he retired in 1968. The couple then spent the winters at their home on Long Boat Key, Fla. He was a charter member of the St. Andrew parish, a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, a charter member of the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church of Long Boat Key, Fla. He also was a member of their Men's Club and the Usher's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Silvena; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Dorothy VanPatten of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Lee E. VanPatten of Tecopa, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Ervin Junk, Marie and Leigh Schroeder all of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Friends man call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by Father Stamborski.
