Marcella A. Vetting, age 65, of 4915 Brookfield Circle, Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, August 28, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 2, 1996, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Beaudry with burial Tuesday morning at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The former Marcella Schlais was born June 12, 1931, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Cisler Schlais. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. On November 25, 1950, she married Keith E. Vetting in Manitowoc. Marcella was employed at Jefferson School in Manitowoc as a library aide. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno, Daughters of Isabella, Bohemian Lodge Z.C.B.J. and the Hemstitchers Club of Manitowoc.

Survivors include her husband, Keith E. Vetting, Manitowoc, two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy E. and Jeannine Vetting, Howard, Ohio, John and Patti Vetting, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Janeen and John R. Stolz, Madison; five grandchildren, Chad, Matthew, Jack, Keith and Maria; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Fran Crechard, Manitowoc, Betty and Leo Meany, Montgomery, Ala., Mary and Rick Nichalson, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Joseph, a niece and a nephew.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. by Rev. David Beaudry. Friends may also call Monday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.

Donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School and Church, Alverno, Cancer Research University of Wisconsin, and the New Jefferson School Library.

A special thank you to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center Oncology Staff, Dr. Barylak and the Manitowoc Clinic Staff, Cancer Society and the support Group.
