(1911 - 1966)

Elmer A. Vnuk, 55, of 625 S. 32nd St., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening. He became ill and was dead on arrival at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Very Rev. Clement P. Kern officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Vnuk was born June 28, 1911, at Manitowoc, son of the late Les Vnuk and Mrs. Clara Mushel Vnuk. He married Goldie R. Wainright Nov. 17, 1934, at Manitowoc.

A salesman for Berkedal and Shimek Inc., for the past six years, he had previously owned and operated Elmer?s Tobacco Co. for 13 years. He was a 25-year member of Eagles Aerie No. 706 and was widely known in the Manitowoc area as a bowler and softball player.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Ronald, David and Richard of Manitowoc, a daughter, Mrs. Rene (Janet) Mellberg, of Milwaukee, his mother of Manitowoc, a brother, Ted, of Manitowoc, a sister, Mrs. Fred Weber, of Miami, Fla., and two grandchildren. A brother, Leo, preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by friends and members of the parish. Eagles Memorial Services will be conducted at 8 p.m.
