Charles E. Wall Jr., age 61, of 909 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dave Hoffman with burial of the cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born June 30, 1940, in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles E. and Dorothy Burns Wall Sr. Charles was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1959. He was currently employed with Swetlik Garage in Manitowoc. Charles enjoyed coaching and umpiring softball along with fishing, auto racing and was an avid Elvis fan.

Survivors include three sons: Jeff Wall and special friend, Shannon Lippert, Rick Wall, Randy Wall and special friend, Rose Ackley, all of Manitowoc; a grandson, Daniel; special friends, Samuel and Charmaine Martell, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Thomas and Benradine Wall, Kimberly; Michael and Lynne Wall, Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Sarah and John Grudnowski, East Troy; and Patricia and Rick Binger, Loveland, Colo. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
