Mrs. Thomas Wattawa, 72, of 1117 S. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Monday at home.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Hephner will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Wattawa, nee Bertha Isselmann, was born Dec. 4, 1899, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Lenz Isselmann. She resided in Manitowoc all her life where she was married to Thomas J. Wattawa June 21, 1922, at St. Boniface Church. Her husband preceded her in death May 22, 1962. Mrs. Wattawa was a member of the St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Rosemary of Manitowoc and Mrs. Clarence (Catherine) Einberger Jr., of Menasha; two brothers, George, of Glenn Rock, N.J., and Edward, of Landsdowne, Penn., two sisters, Mrs. Richard Bodwin and Mrs. Norbert Lettenberger of Manitowoc and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday where a Memorial service will be held at 6:45 p.m. by the Daughters of Isabella and St. Ann Christian Mothers Altar Society.

Bertha Isselman and Thomas Wattawa were married at St. Boniface, Rev. Peil officiated. Miss Hilma Isselman, sister of the bride was bridesmaid and Norbert Lettenberger was groomsman.
Following the service at the church, the Isselman home at 1402 South Eleventh Street was the scene of a reception to the bridal pair and a wedding breakfast for the party.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Wattawa left on a honeymoon and after a visit here upon their return, will go to Lima, Ohio, to make their home.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Isselman and has a large circle of friends. Mr. Wattawa is a son of Mrs. Mary Wattawa, North Fifth Street and is a salesman for the Aluminum Goods Co., being located at Lima, Ohio.
