Ethel H. Wensing, 95, who resided with her daughter, Marie Wolff, of 1208 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died late Friday morning, May 22, 1987 at Park Lawn Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral home and 10 am at St. Boniface Catholic church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Prusakowski OFM will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wensing, nee Ethel Helen Curtis was born June 17, 1891 at Whiting, Kansas, daughter of the late Edward and Ida Irving Curtis. She was married to Arthur J. Wensing, June 29, 1919 at Antigo, Wisconsin. The couple then moving to Manitowoc and residing here since. Her husband preceded her in death October 18, 1966. Mrs. Wensing was a member of St. Boniface Parish and was an honorary member of St. Anne Christian Mothers Altar Society of the parish.
Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. Marie Wolff and LoEan and Nels Thiers, all of Manitowoc and Nathalie Klemen of West Allis; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Melvin and a daughter, Delores Smith.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 7 pm to 9 pm Monday, where a prayer service will be 8 pm by Father Prusakowski.
