Mrs. Cecelia E. Wergin, 86, of 1229 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, May 1, at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Revs. Harold Berryman and James Masart will concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Wergin, nee Cecelia E. Osesek, was born Nov. 8, 1897, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Glisch Osesek. She was married to Julius J. Wergin Nov. 27, 1916, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in November, 1981. Mr. Wergin preceded her in death Nov. 30, 1981. She was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and James Mach of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Mary Nowak of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Beverly Pump and Rick and Ann Mach and three great grandchildren, Julie and Nicolette Pump and Sarah Mach and nieces and nephews. A sister and seven brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 3 o’clock to 8 o’clock this Monday afternoon. The Rosary will be recited by the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Mary Church at 3:30 o’clock and a prayer service will be at 7 o’clock by Daughters of Isabella, relatives and friends.
