Barbara C. Wier, 92, of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, April 29, 1991, at Park Lawn Home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. James Stamborski with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born December 1, 1898, in Sheboygan, Wis., daughter of the late John and Agnes Tomchek Rohde. She married Alois H. Wier on April 23, 1923, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death July 17, 1981. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1973.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Mary Jane Wier of Manitowoc, Richard and Doris Wier of Manitowoc; a daughter and sons-in-law, Dianne and Robert Maedke of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Jane Kabot of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relative and friends survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Walter, Frank, and a grandson, David.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 9 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of service. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
