Kenneth N. Wilhelm, age 79, formerly of 911 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 13, 2009, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born on Jan. 21, 1930 in Manitowoc, son of the late Anton and Marie (Rosik) Wilhelm. Kenneth was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. On Sept. 26, 1951 he married the former Dorothy Stanzel in Manitowoc. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth was a supervisor at the Ariens Co. for many years until his retirement. He volunteered for several years at Peter's Pantry. Kenneth enjoyed trips to several countries and places in the United States. He was a member of the V.F.W. Otto Oas Post No. 659.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Wilhelm, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Patricia Wilhelm, Manitowoc; and three grandchildren: Katherine, Matthew and Megan Wilhelm. Kenneth was also preceded in death by one son: Bradley Wilhelm and one sister: Arlene Wilhelm.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen and assisting will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, where graveside military rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
