The Rev. William Charles Willinger, 76, of 121 N. State St., Chilton, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be 4:45 p.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Chilton. The Most Rev. Bishop Aloysius J. Wycislo will officiate at a concelebrated Mass and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The Rev. WIllinger was born June 8, 1905, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Louisa Heingarten Willinger. He attended Washington School, Manitowoc, and Junior college at Nazareth Hall, St. Paul, Minn. He was ordained May 16, 1934, at Green Bay. He served as assistant pastor in Cleveland, New London, Marinette, Menasha, and Green Bay. In 1944, he became pastor at Walsh with a mission church at Wagner. In 1956, he became pastor at St. Mary Catholic Church, Stockbridge, where he served until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of Calumet County Knights of Columbus No. 2556.

Survivors include a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister.
