Mrs. Frances M. Witte, 97, a former Manitowoc resident died Sunday morning, January 30, at Little Chute, Wis.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Justin Pierce, S.D.S., and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Witte, nee Frances Klaubauf, was born Oct. 9, 1885, at Maplewood, Door County, daughter of the late Ignatius and Frances Dufek Klaubauf. She grew up and was educated at Maplewood where she was married to Theodore F. Witte Oct. 21, 1908, at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death April 13, 1957, at Manitowoc. Mrs. Witte had been employed with Mirro Corporation, retiring in 1953. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 706 of Manitowoc.

Survivors include a daughter, Mr. Karl (Dorothy) Scott of Menasha; a brother, John Klaubauf of Maplewood; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Leona) Witte of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A daughter, Mrs. Geraldine LaVoie, three brothers, three sisters, a grandson and two sons-in-law preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. by Father Pierce.
