Stanley J. Zagrodnik, age 84, of 3815 Custer St., Manitowoc, died Friday, March 8, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 1996, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born June 5, 1911, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Nellie Koralewski Zagrodnik. He married the former Mildred Soukup October 27, 1937, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Stanley was employed at J.J. Stangel Hardware, Hutchausen Hardware, and the Hein Plumbing Co., until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Zagrodnik, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Theresa Tomchek, Alice and Paul Durus, all of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Friends may call at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service.

There will be no Sunday evening visitation.

Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Miss Soukup Becomes Bride

At Holy Innocents Catholic church at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, Miss Mildred Soukup, daughter of Mrs. Rose Soukup, 933 North 15th street, became the bride of Stanley Zagrdonik, son of John Zagrodnik, 1115 South 20th street. The Rev. E. A. Radey read the service and the nuptial mass.

Miss Theresa Zagrodnik, sister of the groom, and Miss Olive Pech, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids, Bernice Witak and Janice Schmidt were flower girls and Joseph Tomchek was best man.

The bride wore a gown of white brocaded velvet, its three-yard train covered by the train of the longest of the three veils that fell from a coronet. A face veil and three shoulder capeds also fell from the coronet. She carried white chrysanthemums. Her bridesmaids wore royal blue velvet frocks and turbans and carried gold chrysanthemums and pompons and the flower girls, dressed in long gold taffeta frocks, carried baskets of blue pompons.

The wedding breakfast and dinner were served at the home of the bride's mother and the supper was served at Peroutka's hall, Francis Creek, to 150 guests.
