Mr. Dominic A. Zinda, 67, of 4814 W. Custer Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday, May 22, 1988 at his residence.

Memorial mass will be 11 am Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Donald Skwor D.D.S., editor of the Salvatorian Publication, will officiate assisted by Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. and Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Cremation will have taken place with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military rites will be accorded by Amvets Post No. 99.

Mr. Zinda was born February 4, 1921 at Rosholt, Wisconsin, son of the late Frank and Josephine Kulinski Zinda. He attended schools in Stevens Point and also Two Rivers. He came to Two Rivers in 1937. Mr. Zinda was a World War II veteran serving as a Private in Company C 52nd Tank Battalion at Camp Fannin, Tezxas. He was discharged in 1944. Mr Zinda was employed for a time at Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers and later was in partnership with the Lambert and Zinda Company from 1945-1973. Following that he was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, retiring in 1986. He married Lorraine Lambert on February 11, 1942 at Mishicot. The couple later moved to Manitowoc to make their home. Mr. Zinda was a member of St. Boniface Catholic church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine of Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allan (Rick) and Sandra Zinda of Hayward, Wisconsin and Gary and Jennifer Zinda of Green Bay; three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Lou and Les Hacker of Manitowoc, Miss Vickie Lynn Zinda of Green Bay and Miss Heidi Jo Zinda of Green Bay; a brother and sister-in-law, Chet and Terry Zinda of Stevens Point; a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Leonard Galonia of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jody; two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call St. Boniface Catholic Church from 10:30 am Wednesday to the time of services. Memorials may be made in Mr. Zinda’s name. Jens Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
