Mrs. Julia Zych, 84, formerly of 1513 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at St. Mary Home where she resided the past four years.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Born Julia Smazel March 28, 1874 at Manitowoc, she was the daughter of the late Wenzel and Katherine Oswald Smazel. She resided in Manitowoc County all her life and was married to Albert Zych in 1892, the couple operating a farm in the Town of Newton until 1913, then moving to Manitowoc. Her husband who preceded her in death April 5, 1951, was former chairman of the board of the Town of Newton and also farmer-assessor for Farmers Ins. Co.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. William R. Braun of Van Nuys, Calif.; a son, Edward J., of Milford, Mich., and a grandchild.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
