Earl William Adams, 92, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002 at Guilford Healthcare.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 at Guilford Memorial Park.
Alifelong resident of Guilford County, Mr. Adams retired from the Greensboro City Schools where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed camping and fishing in the area lakes and wilderness.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his son, Robert William Adams, also by brothers, Arthur, Herman, Melvin, Vernon and James. Also by two sisters, Beatrice Walker and Pauline Martinez.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Nellie P. Adams, age 84; daughter, Mildred L. Adams; sons, James Rodgers Adams and wife, Iris, Raymond Lee Adams and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Krystal Anderson, Sherry Adams, Robert Dale Adams, James Dale Adams and Ensign Joseph Reid Adams.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2002 at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
