Raymond G. (Turkey) Schepper, age 75, of 2111 Lincoln St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday afternoon, February 21, 1995, at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 24, 1995, at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Donald Marquardt with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born May 20, 1919, in Two Rivers, son of the late George and Anna Gehrke Schepper. He married Alice M. Denor on April 27, 1946, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Raymond served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945 in England. He was employed at Hamilton Industries for 40 years, until his retirement in 1981. He was also employed part time at LaFond’s Service Station for 20 years. Raymond was a member of the Board of Directors at Shoreline Credit Union for 15 years, the Hamilton Goodfellowship Club and VFW Post 1248, Two Rivers and the Two Rivers Senior Citizens He was an avid bowler and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Alice, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, George and Lois Schepper, Cudahy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannine and Gerald Kaufmann, Cleveland, Joanne and Marvin Hayssen, Waukesha, Joyce and Daniel Cornils, Two Rivers; one sister, Leona Paulow, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren, Raymond and Roland Schepper, Anthony and Anne Marie Kaufmann, Jessica, Ryan, Renee, Melissa Hayssen, Valerie and Rachel Cornils; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rebecca Kaufmann.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Rev. Donald Marquardt.
