Died in Medina Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Caroline (Kappen) Stites. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters. Memorial graveside ceremonies at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2013, at Willwood Burial Park, 7111 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois. A luncheon will follow the burial at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pecatonica. Cremation rites will be accorded. McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W Fifth Street, Pecatonica, Illinois assisted the family.
