Double Funeral Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bourassa Victims of Influenza--Leave an Orphaned Boy

Mrs. Pearl Bourassa, wife of Fred Bourassa, died at the home of her husband's father, Philip Bourassa, in Plentywood last Friday, Dec. 6th, as the result of influenza and complications, after several days illness.

The next day Fred Bourassa, her husband, being ill too, of the same disease, passed away at the home of his father in Plentywood.

Funeral services were held from the undertaking parlors and interment was made in Plentywood cemetery. There were beautiful floral offerings from friends and the funeral was large.

Fred Bourassa was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bourassa who are the proprietors of the Grand View in this city. The young man was 29 years of age when he died, being born in Grand Forks, N.D. Seven years ago he was married to Pearl Phillips at Spokane, Wash., where he and his wife remained for a couple years before moving to Sheridan county about five years ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Bourassa took up a homestead a few miles southeast of Plentywood, where they have resided since. Mrs. Bourassa at the time of her death was only 27 years of age.

The deceased father and wife leave a four-year-old son, who will be taken and cared for by Mrs. Bourassa's mother, Mrs. Irving Phillips, Spokane, Wash., a part of which family he will become.

The funeral was attended by Al Bourassa of Grand Forks, N.D., brother of the deceased. Another brother, who is in the Army at Des Moines, Iowa, arrived Monday on the afternoon train, being too late for the funeral.
