Myrtle Reba ‘Myrt' (Dill) Aubrey

June 19, 1942 — July 28, 2012

Jamestown resident Myrtle Reba "Myrt" (Dill) Aubrey died Saturday at home. She was 70.

Mrs. Aubrey was born in Dade County, MO., to Reba Delba (Winkle) and Harrison Wood Dill.

Her family moved to California when she was a young girl. She and her husband moved to Jamestown 46 years ago to raise their family.

She worked at Central Sierra Bank, which later became Umpqua Bank, for 23 years until retirement.

She enjoyed learning new skills, cooking and gardening and was a member of the Table Mountain Chapel for over 40 years.

Mrs. Aubrey was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Ray Aubrey, in 1998; her father, in 1983; and brother, George Dill, in 2007.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ray Aubrey, of Jamestown; her mother, Reba Dill, of Sutter Creek; her daughter, Carol Miles, of Cold Springs; daughter-in-law, Gina Aubrey-Wertz, of Soulsbyville; siblings, Bob Dill, of Jackson, and Helen Sauer, of Chula Vista; six grandchildren, Michelle Foster, of Dalhart, Texas, Melissa Austin, of Jamestown, Jessica Aubrey-Lopez of La Coruna, Spain, Mindy Miles, of Sonora, Bobby Ray Aubrey, of Sonora, and William Miles, of Crestline; and four great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, which is also handling arrangements.
