TRIBUNE — Mr. Austin died at his home
of an apparent heart attack.

He was born July 3, 1913 at Healy and
attended grade school in Lane county and
graduated from Greely County high school.

He served with the Army from 1941-1945.

Mr. Austin and Mabel Ensign Nolle were
married April 20, 1946 at Marion.

He was manager of the Western Hardware
Store in Tribune

The past seven years and was a member of
the American Legion, vice president of the
Tribune Rotary Club, member of the 0dd
Fellows and volunteer fire department.

Surviving besides his widow,Mabel, are
two daughters, Nancy Maureen and Nita
Marie of the home, his mother, two
sisters, two step-sons, Fred Nolte,
Ulysses and Dean Nolte. Garden City,
and three grandchildren.

Funeral for Bernard (Duke) Austin,
Tribune merchant who died Tuesday, will be
Thursday, 2 p.m. (CST) at the Healy Methodist
Church. Burial will be in the Healy Cemetery.
