Verla D. Geller, 76, Neosho, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sept. 28, 2013, following a one year illness. Verla was born July 15, 1937 in Pueblo, CO and lived most of her life in the Joplin and Neosho area. She worked as an office nurse for Dr. George in Mt. Vernon and then for Dr. Conde in Joplin for over 30 years. She then owned and operated Verla's Resale in Neosho for 10 years. Verla was a member of the DAR, Genealogy Friends of the Library, the American Legion Auxiliary, Battlefield Newtonia Association and loved doing genealogy. She was a member of the Newtonia Baptist Church. Verla and Elmer ‘Huck' Geller were married on Jan. 2, 1987 in Joplin and he survives. Also surviving are three children, Bob Hudson and Ron Bradley both of Springfield; Patti Wilson, Neosho and four stepchildren, Robert Geller and Susie Hollabaugh both of Broken Arrow, OK; Dawn Wood, Joplin and Tana Bolt, Neosho; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Randy Hudson and grandson, Jamie McNally. Graveside services will be Wed., Oct. 2, 2013 at 10 am at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Doug Gripka will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Tuesday from noon until 7 pm and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the funeral home. The casket will be closed at all times.
