OBITUARY.
Margaret Josephine Matkin was born May 24, 1859, and died October 8, 1923, at her home three miles west of Macon. She was united in marriage to Joseph Penelten [sic] Moore at Bevier, Mo., December 18, 1786, and to this union were born three children, Mrs. S. M. McGrew, Bessie Alice Moore and Daniel Isaac Moore. The husband and two of the children preceded her to the grave. She later was united in marriage to Leroy P. Matkin on the second day of January, 1886. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband and one daughter, Mrs. S. M. McGrew, three step-children, Annie Hamilton of Kansas, Harry Matkin of Davenport, Iowa, and Charley Matkin, of Eugene, Oregon, and six grandchildren, three brothers, Daniel Johnson of Chicago, Thomas Johnson of Cincinnati, Iowa, Walker Johnson of Bevier, Mo.
Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Bevier cemetery.
