Lorraine Cress, 58, departed this life Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Lorraine was born in Mountain City, Tenn. She graduated from TCU with a liberal arts degree. She was an insurance underwriter for over 30 years, most recently with Universal Insurance. Lorraine enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She was a devoted daughter who loved and treasured her family, friends and family dog, Buddy. She was loved and cherished by many friends, their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma; sister, Belinda; and niece, Sarah. Survivors: Father, Gene Cress; brother-in-law, Steve Cooley; nephew, Bobby Cooley; and family dog, Buddy.
