Detlof Buhs, 78, Dies Here Sunday Night

Detlof Buhs, 78, of Rose Creek, R.F.D., died at 10:30 Sunday night at St. Olaf Hospital. Friends may call at the Schutte funeral home until Tuesday evening when the body will be taken to the Art Stern residence, where he made his home for 16 years. Funeral serivices will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at Trinity Luteran church, Rev. Schroder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

From the Historical Bicentennial Souvenir of Elkton, Minnesota and Marshall Township, 1976:

Detlof Buhs had four children, Anna L.M., Charles, Lizzie and Minnie.
Anna died at 9 months of blood poisoning.
Charles died of diptheria.
Lizzie passed from a cardiac infarction.
Minnie passed from acute cardiac failure.
