Marion attended St. Paul the Apostle Elementary School in Ellicott City, Mt. DeSales High School and went on Loyola College (later University) Baltimore.
She graduated from Loyola in 1976, received her Masters in 1977, and a certificate of advanced studies in 1980. Beginning in 1978, she worked as a special education teacher in Howard County at both Ellicott City Middle and Worthington Elementary. She died of cancer at 43.
She was the beloved daughter of William R. & Alma K. McCormack. At the time of her death, she was survived by her mother and her siblings, William R. Jr., Terrence, Gregory D., Jeffrey P., Gary J., and Sharon J.
