Services for William Richard Vaughn, retired farmer who died at his home near Maury City Friday night were held at 3:30 Saturday afternoon at the Old Field Church. Bro. R. E. Black officiated.
Burial in Old Field Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Vaughn was 84.
Born in Crockett County, he was a member of the Church of Christ. He had been in ill health for five months.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Emma Mansfield Vaughn, two daughters, Mrs. Nora Johnson and Mrs. Lula Stallings of Maury City; two sons, Herbert Vaughn of Miston and Stanley of Maury City; two brothers, Joe Vaughn of Halls and Ike of Maury City.
NOTE:
The obituary above states that he is to be buried in Old Field Cemetery. However, Floyds Chapel Cemetery in Crockett Co., Tennessee is A.K.A. Old Field Cemetery.
