"Wenzel M. Stangel, 72, retired Tisch Mills farmer, and brother of Principal Charles G. Stangel of Lincoln high school, died Thursday evening at the hospital here.

"Born at Tisch Mills, Mr. Stangel enjoyed good health until last September, when he sustained injuries in a fall at his small farm home at Tisch Mills. Since then he has failed and he was removed to the hospital here a short time ago. The deceased, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stangel, county pioneers, was born on the homestead farm at Tisch Mills in 1863.

"He married Catherine Prausa, Casco, at Norman, Kewaunee county, in 1890 and took over his father's farm. He operated the farm until a few years ago when his son Benjamin purchased it. The elder Stangel moved to a small farm close at hand."
