Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born in Webster County on April 15, 1942, a daughter of the late Lewis and Tessie (Cowger) Williams. Barbara was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to country music and singig karaoke. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Johnny Williams and his wife Diane of Fairmont and two grandchildren, Madison Williams and Isabella Williams. Also surviving are three brothers, Gail Williams and his wife Dolly of Texas, Richard Williams of Silver Lake, WV and Larry Williams and his wife Linda of Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Ray Weese and a sister-in-law, Reba Williams. Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Saturday from 5-8 pm and Sunday from 12-1 pm. The funeral service will held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 1 pm with Pastor Matt Holbert officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont.
