LITTLEFIELD-A celebration of life service for Juanita E. (Morgan) Holt will be held Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Follow Thru Fellowship in Littlefield with her grandson, Pastor Tracy Spencer, officiating. Graveside will follow at the Littlefield Cemetery under the direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Juanita was born April 6, 1913, to Kemp and Maggie Morgan in Haskel County, Texas. She attended school at Cook Springs in Haskel County and cosmetology training in Knox City, where she opened her first beauty shop.

She met C.K. Holt Jr. in Stamford, Texas, where they got married on March 31, 1940. In 1941 they moved to Bula, Texas, where they raised their three daughters. In 1962 they moved to Lubbock, where she changed careers and became a respiratory therapist at the age of 50. She worked for Methodist Hospital in Lubbock for 31 years. She was also very active in the Llano Walk to Emmaus.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, C.K. Holt Jr.; her parents; two brothers, G.R. Morgan and J.K. Morgan; and a great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Renee Spencer.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lynda Spencer (Travis) of Littlefield and their three children, Tracy (Barbara) Spencer, Lynnette Payne, and Kim Spencer, Betty Roberts (Jim) of Matador and her children, Kelly McCall (Sherry), Tanya Griswold and Kip McCall (Jill), Jeannie Johnson (Jerry), of Matador and their children, Todd Johnson, Missy Caporale (Ron), and Jeff Johnson; twenty great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Littlefield EMS or preferred charity.
