She was born May 5, 1916 to James and Margaret Aldax in Evanston, Wyoming. In 1932 she married Ivan Baker in Reno, Nev. After Ivan passed away, she became a caregiver for seniors.
Anna enjoyed raising birds and flowers. Her survivors include her daughter, Carol Breshears of Cove, Ark.; son, Carl Baker of Chico; three brothers, John Aldax, James Aldax Jr., and Pierre Aldax, all of Chico; two sisters, Marie Carlson of Paradise, Kate Verardi of Yuba City; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Lloyd Baker in 1997. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m.Wednesday evening at Brusie Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. Published in Chico Enterprise-Record on June 2, 2004.
