A son of John A. and Almina (Keyser) Cessna. He was a Bedford Civic Leader known as "The Insurance Man." He was united in marriage with Florence Blymyer on Sept. 14, 1904.
He was survived by his wife and four daughters, Mrs. J. J. Burgoon of Carlisle; Mrs. J. Dewey Cootes of Washington; Mrs. W. Robert Arnold of Camp Hill; and Mrs. Thomas E. Gilchrist of Cumberland, MD; also five grandchildren.
