Mary Jane YERIAN was born at Solsberry May 26, 1861, and passed away at her daughter’s at Tallulah, Louisiana, May 13, 1930, aged sixty-eight years, eleven months and seventeen days. She was the daughter of William and Mary E. YERIAN. In 1889 she was married to Jessie LARUE, and to this union two children were born, Ava (LARUE) BECKER, of Tallulah, LA, and Ray LARUE of Memphis, Tennessee. She has one granddaughter, Jane BECKER. She also has left to mourn their loss three-sisters and one brother—Mrs. Nila BRYAN, of Chicago; Mrs. George WEGNER and Mrs. George H. SHIELDS, of Bloomfield, and on brother, Riley YERIAN. She spent most of her life at and near Bloomfield, where she reared her two children, as her husband died in 1898. She was very devoted to her children in providing for their needs and training them to become good citizens in the full sense of the word and she surely succeeded. She was a member of the M. E. church in which she took a great interest. For the last thirteen years she has been living with her daughter at Helen, Arkansas, and at Tallulah, LA., but came back to Bloomfield each year and spent the summer with her sisters, Mrs. George H. SHIELDS and Mrs. George WEGNER, and also renewing her acquaintances with her old friends of which she had many. She had a personality which was pleasing to all who knew her and especially to children. She has now passed on to her reward, which is promised to those who serve the Lord. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church her yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Elmer ST.CLAIR officiating. Interment in Grand View Cemetery.
