JOHN SEARS, 75, DIES YESTERDAY
John W. Sears, 75, retired farmer, died Thursday at the Wakefield Nursing Home, 33 Owego Street. He had recently made his home at 4 Pearl Street.
Son of John Henry and Mary Johnson Sears, he was born in Cortland County May 1, 1872. Surviving are a stepson Vernon Johnson of Cortland, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday at the Beard Memorial Home. Dr. Allan r. Knight, pastor of the Memorial Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Blodgett Mills. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
