Charles E. Quistorf, age 77, of 3250 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, October 8, 1999, at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 1999, at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Deacon Robert Drobka with burial of the cremains at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Military rites will be accorded by Amvets Post #99.

He was born December 21, 1921 in Manitowoc, son of the late Richard and Mary Goetz Quistorf. Charles served in the United States Army during World War I, as a Tech Sergeant. On November 29, 1952, he married the former Charlotte Sommers, in Manitowoc. Charles was employed at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co., as a Sheet Metal Fabricator and Foreman for 44 years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Amvet Post #99, American Legion and was a long time member of the Shoto Conservation Club. He also enjoyed playing in the Manitowoc County Dartball League.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, Manitowoc; six daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Gargano, North Chicago, Ill., Tootsie Sommers, Manitowoc, Lisa Quistorf, Two Rivers, Joan Arce-Bernal and Humberto Arce-Castaneda, Sheboygan, Robin Sharpe, Two Rivers, Mia Quistorf, Manitowoc; three sons and a daughter-in-law, William and Renee Quistorf, Everett, Washington, James Quistorf, San Diego, Calif., Patrick Quistorf, Sheboygan; 17 grandchildren, Dina and Sicily Gargano, Forst, Horizon and Winter Weier, Velvet Sommers, Nathan, Dylan, and David Meissner, Cordelia Mae (Corree) Quistorf, Leo Aguilar, Chalino Arce-Bernal (little Charlie), Caridad (Charity) Arce-Bernal, Seth Sharpe, Brittany Quistorf, Candyce (Quistorf) Wright, and Curtis Quistorf; three great-grandchildren, Alexia Taylor Wright, Marivel and Marisol Alvarez. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lester Quistorf, Manitowoc, Richard and Peggy quistorf, Arlington, Va.; one sister, Florence Krause, Manitowoc; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and John Quistorf.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Calvary Mausoleum Chapel from 10 .m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
