TO HEAVENLY SHORES - RANK
Another life has yielded to the inevitable and another home is saddened by the decree of Fate which has summoned a loving mother from the family circle and left desolate the hearts of sorrowing husband and children. After an illness of many months, Mrs. Andreas Rank was released from earthly suffering Friday afternoon her death occurring at the home on So. Eleventh street, shortly after 8 o’clock.
Deceased had been a patient sufferer for many weary months, consumption being the cause of death. From the first it seemed that Death had set the seal on her brow, but all that medical aid and tender, loving care could suggest was done to prolong her life and make the closing days of the journey peaceful and happy. And thus in the last hours, when the messenger approached, a smile of happy contentment illuminated the wasted features and she passed into the great beyond with not a sorrow.
Mrs. Rank was born in Bohemia, Sept. 24, 1856, and has been a resident of Manitowoc a number of years. She was the mother of four children, all of whom, with the husband, survive to mourn her demise. She was a woman loved and respected by all who enjoyed her acquaintance. A true wife, a loving mother, and a sympathetic friend in the time of trouble. The children surviving are Frances, Anna, Mary and one son, Alic.
The funeral will be held from St. Boniface church Monday morning at 9 o’clock.
