Sophia Rank, 87, formerly of 728 South 24th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, October 24, 1989.
Mrs. Rank was born February 4, 1902 at Phlox, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Bissonette Marx. She married Frank Rank, June 6, 1922 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Phlox, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death July 7, 1986. Mrs. Rank was a member of St. Paul Parish Women and St. Paul Adoration Society.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Ben Rank, Pinellas Park, Florida; Jerome Rank, Manitowoc; Francis and Mary Rank, Two Rivers; David and Darlene Rank, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Florence and Louis Jansky, Tisch Mills; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, William and rose Marx, Manitowoc; Rev. Benedict Marx, Green Bay; Raymond and Dorothy Marx, Phlox, Wisconsin; Frank and Madge Marx, New Braunfels, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and George Strehlow, Manitowoc; Mrs. Lucille Matucheski, Antigo; Emma and Al Koeppel, Phlox; a sister-in-law, Mildred Marx, Phlox; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Germaine; two brothers and two sisters.
The Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Ronald Reimer and Rev. Ben Marx officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
