DOROTHY M. BRADTMILLER, 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, she married Richard Schorey on Dec. 9, 1950. He preceded her in death after 42 years of marriage. Dorothy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, worship at her church and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Melvin Bradtmiller of Fort Wayne; son, Dale L. (Cindy) Schorey of Columbia City; daughters, Susan K. (Doug) Friend of Troutman, N.C., Nancy Pulver of Fort Wayne, Jan J. (Steven) Pulver of Columbia City, Pamela R. Ohneck of Fort Wayne, and Jan A. Schorey of Portland, Ore.; step-daughters, Karen (Kitt) Johnson and Kay Bradtmiller both of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Furniss of Fort Wayne; sister, Sally Hutchinson of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Dessie Furniss; brothers, Bill, Stan, Harold, Earl and Jack Furniss. Funeral Service is noon, Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6318 West California Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Bill Mueller officiating.
